Stripes and Strains Room

Immerse yourself in swirling black and white designs that will make you feel as if you are in another dimension. Painted by Denver artist A.L. Grime, this room combines the black & white optical art of the 60’s with modern patterns, while paying homage to the names of popular marijuana strain names. A massive mural of Twiggy’s eyes brighten up the space as a nod to the modern era, while glowing hand lettering adds to the mind-bending aesthetic of the space. This is intended to bring you back to the 60’s when marijuana use first became popular nationwide and the Beatles took the world on a “Magical Mystery Tour”.

The Different Types of Cannabis

Indica

Known for their relaxing body high and the infamous “couch lock”, Indica strains are a popular choice for those suffering from pain, anxiety or insomnia. Buds tend to be darker and denser, and typically contain higher levels of CBD, a cannabinoid known for its restorative properties.

Sativa

Sativa’s are a popular choice for the recreational consumer because they tend to contain higher levels of the cannabinoid, THC, or the primary psychoactive component in cannabis. The resulting high tends to be more uplifting and energetic, though it can cause problems for those who experience marijuana-induced paranoid or anxiety.

Hybrid

Hybrid weed strains derive genetics from indicas and sativas, their ensuing effects can also pull from both indica and sativa strains. Common effects include happy, euphoric, uplifting, energetic, relaxing—it all depends on which hybrid you consume and what effects its “parent” strains are known to produce.
